Mineral Make Up FYI

To anyone who cares:

I have been wanting to try the Bare Minerals make up for a while, but I just can't bring myself to forking out a lot of money for make up. So I have noticed lately that a lot of the other brands are doing a Mineral collection. I did a little research and found that Maybelline, L'oreal and a brand sold at Walgreens, I think it's called Milo? are all supposed to be VERY comparable to Bare Minerals without the cost. I decided to try it out and bought some Maybelline brand mineral foundation and translucent powder. At first as I applied the foundation I thought, Yeah, it's ok, but after I put on the translucent finishing powder I thought "Hmm, Even better!" I saw at Wal Mart and Target there is a starter kit with foundation, concealer and powder for $12 to $14. I really liked how Maybelline worked and when I run out I think I'll try the Milo one just to see. Obviously I liked it enough to post on my blog about it. Hope this helps anyone out there. FYI, sorry if I'm not spelling the brands correctly.

Baby picture

So I am 22 weeks along with this little girl. I haven't taken any side shots this pregnancy and am feeling the motherly guilt that comes with that. haha. I had just woken up from a nap and had Grant take this picture of me so I and at least have some documentation of it. We are excited to meet this little girl and are slowly getting things ready for her. I have enjoyed shopping for pink lately. haha.

Happy Birthday Mr. Hotty!

Jeff's Birthday is early January. We had a great time celebrating it and were pleasantly surprised to have his parents come down for it too! Happy Birthday Honey, I love you!

New Beds, no Binky!

We decided to take down the crib and get the bunk beds put together. The boys were VERY excited. I was a bit apprehensive because Scottie goes down for his nap and bedtime so smoothly with his binky. I was planning on weening him before the bed thing, but decided that I like my sleep better and would ween him later. By the 2nd night in the bed he had lost his binky. It was the last one and I couldn't bring myself to buy another one. So . . we had no choice. He has been binky free x 1month and is doing a great job at bed time AND taking naps. Grant used to escape ALL the time when he moved to a bed, but Scottie has only done that twice. We think it's because he has Grant with him that he doesn't get up and wander around.

Christmas for Us.

Christmas Eve was new for us this year. Usually we are at one of the G-ma and G-pa's house but this year we chose to do Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at home. We thought a lot about what we would like to do to start our own family traditions. We chose to try out a dinner with 3 kinds of fondue, which turned out SO fun and good. We acted out the Christmas story and the Boys LOVED being little Shepherds in their bath robes and towels. Now when they get out of the tub, they put a towel on their head and say "I'm a Shepherd!". We really enjoyed waking up the next morning at our house and spending some time as a family. After our Christmas morning we drove to Jeff's parents house and had a great time enjoying the rest of Christmas with them.

I made the boys a TeePee for Christmas and Santa hid their stockings in it. They really have enjoyed it. Scottie calls it his house.

The weather was crazy at Jeff's parents house. Everyone had chosen to go to a movie, but we decided to stay back and play in the snow for a bit. Jeff and Grant working on a fort.
